Sarahan

Sarahan is at an elevation of 2313 metres from sea level. It is a small picturesque village 43 kilometres from Rampur. Rampur is 42 kilometres from Kotgarh. It is one of the most prominent tourist attractions in Himachal Pradesh. Sarahan has a breathtaking view of the snow clad Shrikhand Range. It is also famous for Bhima kali Temple, dedicated to Mother Bhima Kali, presiding deity of the rulers of the former Bushar State. There are also temples of Lord Raghunath Ji, Lord Narsingh Ji, and Patal Bharava Ji (Lankara Veer Ji). Lankara Veer Ji is considered to be the guardian of Mother Bhima kali. There is a Bird Sanctuary near Saharan, which has all the exotic bird varieties like the Monal and Jhujurana. There is a summer palace of the Bushar rulers here. There are many small treks in the forests near Sarahan.
