Narkanda is the highest inhabited pass in Himachal at an elevation of 2621 metres. It is from here the road bifurcates from the National Highway towards Kotgarh. Narkanda has one of the best powder snows for skiing in the world. It has become a popular ski and boarding destination now. Narkanda is surrounded by green deodar forests with spectacular views of the snow clad mountains throughout the year. Narkanda is the gateway to the apple country side (Kotgarh) of Himachal Pradesh.
